My friends say I’m very lucky when it comes to giveaways. Mind you, they don’t mean just blog giveaways because I’ve won my fair share of raffles in school as well. Maybe I should try out for the lottery next time…:)
Anyhoo, I got extremely lucky last last week because I won Fasche.org’s Impulse Co giveaway! Prizes I won include a satchel, shades, a studded cuff, and a cute pouch bag. Yey!
I used the satchel already as soon as I got the stuff and even decided to make it my official bag during the Midterms. I apologize in advance for the weird and harried pictures. I was rushing at that time because I still had to review in school (hence glasses, just bathed wet hair, and all).

This cardigan is my new favorite. It reminds me of Missoni with its zigzag stripes and color combination.

Here’s another shot with different lighting. I moved at the other side of the walkway; turned out the lighting was better there. :/
Now on to my impressions with the satchel.

I like the particular shade of tan this satchel has — not too brown and earthy. It’s also not too light as to mimic the color of my Fab Manila bag (which you can see in this post).
As you can see, it is not a knock-off of the seemingly “it” bag of the season — the Cambridge Satchel. The design is very traditional and it actually reminds me of the satchels students wear in Japanese soaps.
It is made of thick synthetic leather and has a very smooth finish to it. The make of the bag is also quite impressive because the stitching is precise and there is nary a stray or out of place stitch anywhere. Believe me, I’ve checked. The hardware looks ordinary, however, meaning it would likely tarnish sooner or later. Nevertheless, it looks well worth it for the price they’re selling it for, which is P850 for the 13” one and P650 for 11” and 9”. (I got the prices from Sara of I Play the Villain because the prices are not available in Impulse Co’s website.)

Based from the picture above, you can also see that the bag is roomy. I was able to place my reviewers, pens, a codal, my ID, and a big wallet (which is below that folded mass of paper) inside. The satchel is flexible and not stiff so you can shove many items inside. I do wish though that the main compartment had pockets for holding pens and other small knick knacks. I know the front pocket can be used for that, but still. I like bags with lots of pockets in it so you no longer need a bag organizer to put order inside your bag. :)
In all, I’m very happy about this satchel and I think it’s going to be one of my staple go-to bags. Expect to see more of it here!
