Midterms and Finals are the craziest and most hectic weeks in law school. Any law student would vouch for that. It’s the time when we all bury our heads in reviewers, codals, notes, case doctrines, and loads of other photocopied materials. Sleep is our enemy, while coffee is our savior.

I was feeling the stress of it all last week already; the kind of stress that would make you want to vomit everything you’ve shoved inside your head. Good thing I checked my mail and saw an invite from Liz to the Pinkbox Pink Party! I hesitated at first, because wasting time is never a good thing. But who am I kidding? I needed a break…badly. And I could hardly call going to the Pinkbox event a waste of time. It’s Pinkbox! I have charm bracelets from this store and I love them to bits. So I sent a reply to Liz confirming my attendance and adjusted my study schedule.

I did not make the wrong decision in going. It was one of the most fun blogger events I’ve ever been to, granted of course that I haven’t been to so many. :)

Check out the buffet of accessories that greeted me!

The venue was at Sweet Bella Cafe in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City. I arrived 30 minutes late and there were a lot of people already. I immediately spotted Liz and she sweetly ushered me to the huddled bloggers on one table. Saw Kira (co-writer in POC) and Angel (who I met at a Ponds event before). I just realized we didn’t have any picture pala. :(

I sat at another table because they were already full in the first one. Say hello to my tablemates!

From left to right: Jill, Donna, Bec, Kumiko Mae, me (hehe!), and Sarah (who the kuya who took this picture unfortunately left out!)

More pics!

From left to right: Sarah, Jill, Martha, Bec, Donna, Kumiko Mae, and Liz

Legally brunettes: Jill, the lawyer, and Donna, soon-to-be lawyer also! Hope I’ll be joining the ranks very soon!!!

Met fashion bloggers Lissa and Tracy too!

Look at all the beautiful food…and they taste as good as they look.

After eating, Liz introduced us to Nelly See, the owner of Pinkbox! She has a very nice story on how the store was established.  Nelly was just a housewife then who wanted to buy lovable, age-appropriate, and affordable accessories for her daughter. Unable to find what she wanted, she decided to put up her own store. Hence, Pinkbox was born.

Starting simply with just hair accessories then, it’s amazing how the brand grew. They now have numerous branches all over the country selling more than just hair accessories. Check out their massive accessory line.

Basic - classic, uni-color pieces

Charms - at only P25 to P80 per charm

Novelty - girly notebooks, decorative pens, and keychains

Chic collection - Pinkbox’s newest line.

At the end of the event, we were asked to choose from the buffet of accessories they had. The photos above are what I went home with. :)

By the looks of it, Pinkbox is not just that cute pink store anymore. They’re the cute pink store with chic and trendy items!
