I’m gonna start this post by simply saying…so this is why people buy expensive nail polish. I’m a cheap polish kind of girl who buys only those which are in the P100 range. My mindset before was it’s just nail polish, why spend a lot over it?
I was wrong. You have to shell out a little bit more because it IS nail polish. You spend hours cleaning and prettifying your nails (personally, I take 4 hours tops for both hands and feet), only to have them chip the next day or the next few days.
You should buy expensive nail polish because their quality is loads better and they last long. Well, that is the case for my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (P399).

It’s called Complete Salon Manicure because it claims to achieve 5 steps in 1 bottle—Base Coat, Strengthener, Growth Treatment, Color and Top Coat. It also has Sally Hansen’s Vita-care Technology which claims to provide advance wear, more shine, and nourishing care.
These are pretty promising claims, but I think they’ve achieved it. Take a look see at my nails!

Obviously. I’m loving this polish so much thus the nail porn.
Likes:
- As its claim provides, it makes manicuring a lot faster. I didn’t have to put any basecoat and topcoat. I just brushed the polish on my nails and let it set. The polish lasted for about a week with only slight chipping at the tips. I could in fact have let it alone, but my nails were growing it out.
- The color is gorgeous. It’s the type of red that’s classy and sophisticated, no glitter and shimmer here.
- The brush. I’ve read reviews saying the brush is too wide for their nails, but I beg to differ. My nails are tiny (yes, they are), yet I don’t see any problem with the wide brush. In fact, it easily swipes polish over the entire nail resulting to faster application.
- The formula. It’s a tad thicker than my P100 range nail polishes, but not goopy, and it glides on nails like a dream.
- Despite having a thicker consistency, the polish is easier to remove than my other polishes. I just rubbed acetone over it and the color swiftly came off. This is impressive considering that the polish’s color was dark and solid. Usually, darker shades are harder to remove but not this one.
- It also did not leave a stain when I removed it.
Hates:
- I really don’t have major concerns about this polish, but If I am to nitpick, I’d have to say you need at least 2 coats to get a solid red. I say this because when I placed my first coat, the color was a bit uneven so I had to place another coat to get that solid vibrant red. In all fairness, Sally Hansen’s website did state that you should apply 2 coats.
- The price (P399) may also set some people off but this product is worth it!
Recommendation:
You can probably apply a topcoat to make it last longer. I’ve also read in other reviews that they still apply base coat, but in my experience, there was no need for it.
Honestly, I love this product so much I want to hoard, but the price is stopping me. I have to take it a month at a time. If you’re planning to buy though, now is a good time because they’re having a Buy 1 Take 1 deal—1 free Insta-dri nail polish for every purchase of a Complete Salon Manicure.
