Alive and kickin’

I’m back. Our final exams ended last Wednesday and boy am I relieved. I survived the last days of law school (the most hectic of all my four years, I must say) alive and kickin’. Whew.

It took me four days to come back to blogging because I needed time to recover. I’m not exaggerating when I say this. I’ve been running on coffee and three to four hour sleeps for the past weeks, so I was really drained both mentally and physically. Borrowing from what my friend always says, if you’d prick me, coffee would come out. Hahaha! I needed time to just sleep and not think.  After four days of this, I’m now fully recharged!

Law school is not officially over though. Not yet. I would only be certain come March 30, when all of our grades would finally be released. Hopefully (and I mean HOPEFULLY), I pass all of my subjects so I can finally close this chapter of my life.

Enough about me and my law school rants. Haha! I have put blogging on hold because of it but it doesn’t mean I have no new things to blog about. Quite the contrary, I have lots. They’re all piled up right now and I’ll be writing about all of them in the next few days. Here’s what you can expect from my blog:

1. A mini giveaway. Yes, a giveaway! But it’s not as grand as my old one, thus the “mini” description. Still, you’ll love the prize…or should I say prizes. :)

2. A collaboration with a popular online store. I have been excited about this one since my finals exams!

3. Battle against blackheads. Before my schedule went haywire, I’ve been trying on  some products targeted against getting rid of blackheads. I wasn’t able to use them regularly for the past weeks, but now I can religiously use them and then report the results to you guys.

4. More about nails. I would be doing a review on Konad Nail Stamp and Etude House’s nail polish remover. First off, I’d like to say I love both of these products.

5. More outfit posts! :)

If I’ve turned most of you guys off because of my weeks long hiatus, I truly apologize. I’d be wooing you guys again with more blog posts from this time on.

Thanks for sticking around! :)

The happiest heart

Valentine’s day is known as the day for couples. It’s the day when men become more sweeter, and women more expectant. -_^

But this is not what February 14 is really about. Valentine’s day is the day of hearts no matter from whom the love comes from—your boyfriend/girlfriend, parents, siblings, cousins, or friends. The love doesn’t have to come from a certain special someone. Valentine’s day is a celebration of love for everyone, especially to those most dear to you.

And I have felt it; the overwhelming love. Love from my boyfriend, who gave me the most beautiful and most meaningful roses ever, from my best friend, who gave me a red lipstick because she knows it’s so me, from my friend, who gave me a cupcake (which I was craving for today), from my mama, who gave me a cake and a cute chocolate bud, and from my papa, who cooked the most sumptuous seafood spread for us.

Aaah love. It’s the best feeling in the world. <3

Dress up your photos

Yesterday, I discovered one of the coolest things I ever saw in the internet — Pixlr-o-matic. I may be late in discovering this awesome piece of work, but you know what they say, better late than never.

I learned about it while watching Bestie of The Capricious Blog’s vlog #1. She’s one of my favorite bloggers and it’s such a delight to find out about this program from her. So this is how she edits all her beautiful photos!

Pixlr-o-matic is a photo effects maker where you can choose preset filters, effects, and borders to edit your photos. If you have a blog and you prefer posting stylized photos, well this is your savior. It will save time tinkering with Photoshop tools and functions!

Here are what I came up with. It’s highly addicting I must say.

And here’s a sneak peak of my cute cat Katniss! He’s a big Garfield now. This was taken when he was a ‘lil kitten.

You can use Pixlr-o-matic online or you can save the program onto your PC. The online version has updated effects unlike the PC version. Nevertheless, you can use the latter one even without an internet connection so it’s best to have the program saved anyway.

Here’s a tip when saving your edited photos. Always put “.jpg” after the title so that the file would be saved as a JPEG file. I noticed the program doesn’t automatically save as JPEG, so don’t forget to put “.jpg”.

Some people may not like the new slogan for the Philippines but I do not agree. I love it. The slogan evokes emotion, possibilities, an intangible idea that pulls interest.

What’s more, many can join in on the fun and create their own versions of why it’s more fun in the Phillippines! Here’s my contribution. :)

Go make your own!
